About Independence Project
Our mission is to enable people with additional needs to achieve Independence...... Simple!
What does independence mean to us? Well it means leading a successful life where we can build skills to enable us to look after ourselves away from our families. For some people this might include getting a job so they can support themselves financially. It also means having a thriving social life, a strong sense of self worth and importance whilst having a purpose and feeling that we are continuously achieving goals. If this is achieved then people consequentially have a good mental and physical health.
Independence Project was set up to create an inclusive environment for people wishing to build on many essential life skills, employment skills and social skills. We want to create friendships and for this reason we work as a group and always look to place people together with others that are like minded.
We work in a person centred way. No individual is the same. We understand that every person has differing needs and we will work closely with you, your family and carers to identify what goals you are looking to achieve to enable you to progress as an individual and lead an independent life.
We want you to come on the journey with us! We will hold regular meetings with you to establish what you would like to do. Our experienced staff know the best ways in finding out what people need to achieve their goals. An emphasis of fun will always be at the core of what we do.
So don't delay get in touch and find out how we can help support you and your loved ones.
